Final Four - LXXXI

March Madness Maniacs, unite! The Big Freeze celebrated the 80-year-old tournament in our favorite place right in the thick of the excitement, Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One. Held in the 475,000 sq. ft. Minneapolis Convention Center, Fan Fest was jam-packed with interactive activities for NCAA fans around the globe.

The Final Four tournament is the final brackets of a 67-game, 68-team tournament, with the final title game averaging 23 million viewers. Fans had the chance to interact with their favorite players and brands at the highly anticipated Fan Fest, including a custom Big Freeze 360-degree camera system. The Final Four Big Freeze adventure was equipped with 24 cameras suspended on a 15-foot rig. While the interior was spacious enough to fit an entire basketball team, the footprint of the array was relatively compact, creating a sleek and modern fan destination. The interior of the booth was finished with crisp and vivid Capital One branding in 360-degrees, ensuring that our clients’ design could be seen boldly from any and all angles. The exterior of The Freeze donned large, high-def viewing screens to enable each guest to immediately view their capture upon exit. The interior flooring resembled a basketball court to let guests live out their fantasies of a final four game-day dunk, as The Big Freeze’s amazing technology froze the motion at the peak of their expression. As players and fans alike piled into our system, we created image after image in stunning HD to be enjoyed long after the trophy was lifted and the confetti dropped.

A Nielsen cross-platform study states that over 175 million fans engage with the tournament across all networks and platforms, so we jumped right in the action by including a fun hashtag in all branding images, #fangoals, as well as gave fans immediate, user-friendly access to their unique captures to be shared around the world.
