The Big Freeze was delighted to return to the Jeep on the Rocks Summer Concert Series for the 4th year, to rock with AJR and Cold War Kids on top of the incredible rock structures of Red Rock Park and Amphitheatre. We brought to the show an entirely new multi-camera system, on a slick low-trussed curve. Yielding a unique view, we captured all of the magnificent detail of the natural wonder surrounding us along with some very animated guests! The hero, an exciting new Jeep Gladiator, was positioned within the rocks to become a masterful centerpiece, the perfect backdrop for the energetic crowd of fans. We crafted this photo array to enable multiple people to get their chance in the spotlight, grabbing their friends to jump, twirl and leap frog pose in front of The Big Freeze cameras. With magnificent weather, great music and Colorado vibes, all stars aligned for guests to have fun and share the client’s branded frozen moments of the evening! The natural beauty of the location juxtaposed with the interesting lines of Jeep’s latest innovation, provided the ultimate backdrop for our next-level guest experience.
Sometimes the smallest things have the biggest impact, and that is certainly true for The Big Freeze outfit we created for the 22nd Annual Soaring Eagle Arts, Beats & Eats festival in downtown Royal Oak, Michigan. A juried fine arts exhibition, innovative and fine cuisine from local restaurateurs, and 200 musical performances on 9 stages create the ultimate Labor Day weekend destination and attract over 330,000 visitors. A massive crowd and extensive entertainment means space is scarce, but The Big Freeze knows how to deliver the impact while only occupying a small area.
We accompanied the highly anticipated JEEP® M-715 Five Quarter Concept vehicle in the event space, and captured guests in 180-degrees of celebration. We engineered an 8-camera array that delivered the same epic punch as a much larger system with a mere 8’x6’ footprint. Guests were then able to receive their lively captures instantly with our convenient, user-friendly social sharing capabilities. We were able to capture the magic of art, fine cuisine, music and community in each guest effect, as well as showcase the always trailblazing Jeep. No matter the size or space limitations, The Big Freeze systems can always answer activation demands, consistently delivering fun, engaging experiences for all!
The Big Freeze joined the 2019 ESPN ESPY (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) red carpet to celebrate all of this year’s shining stars in sports!
This year’s red carpet called for vision and innovation, and The Big Freeze delivered with FreezeBOT, our multi-action high-speed capturing robotic camera system. FreezeBOT, with a radius of 7 feet and standing at 8.5 feet tall, offers state-of-the-art 6-axis robotic video capture technology. Custom programming creates FreezeBOT choreography to high-speed capture 240 frames per second, which allows for the dramatic slow motion video effects. Never tiring, our FreezeBOT captured over 200 amazing athletes who walked into our stage to show us their best moves. The NHL’s Blues to Rob Gronkowski, genius footwork to golf swings, all were captured at high-speed and turned into stunning slow motion video effects, which were then sent straight to broadcast and the guest.
To deliver the effects, we handed each celeb a beautifully designed and branded QR card to scan with their mobile device, which would then immediately display their custom capture. Capital One, the sponsor of our ESPY red carpet FreezeBOT, was thrilled with the instantly shareable and branded asset. And share they did! Captures were shared across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more, with some videos garnishing over 800,000 views apiece.
There may be lots of bots, but there is only one FreezeBOT and it ruled the red carpet! With an event-friendly design, using only house power and small footprint, and programmable with any imaginable move, freezeBOT packs an epic punch.

March Madness Maniacs, unite! The Big Freeze celebrated the 80-year-old tournament in our favorite place right in the thick of the excitement, Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One. Held in the 475,000 sq. ft. Minneapolis Convention Center, Fan Fest was jam-packed with interactive activities for NCAA fans around the globe.
The Final Four tournament is the final brackets of a 67-game, 68-team tournament, with the final title game averaging 23 million viewers. Fans had the chance to interact with their favorite players and brands at the highly anticipated Fan Fest, including a custom Big Freeze 360-degree camera system. The Final Four Big Freeze adventure was equipped with 24 cameras suspended on a 15-foot rig. While the interior was spacious enough to fit an entire basketball team, the footprint of the array was relatively compact, creating a sleek and modern fan destination. The interior of the booth was finished with crisp and vivid Capital One branding in 360-degrees, ensuring that our clients’ design could be seen boldly from any and all angles. The exterior of The Freeze donned large, high-def viewing screens to enable each guest to immediately view their capture upon exit. The interior flooring resembled a basketball court to let guests live out their fantasies of a final four game-day dunk, as The Big Freeze’s amazing technology froze the motion at the peak of their expression. As players and fans alike piled into our system, we created image after image in stunning HD to be enjoyed long after the trophy was lifted and the confetti dropped.
A Nielsen cross-platform study states that over 175 million fans engage with the tournament across all networks and platforms, so we jumped right in the action by including a fun hashtag in all branding images, #fangoals, as well as gave fans immediate, user-friendly access to their unique captures to be shared around the world.
The Big Freeze was honored to rub shoulders with the best of the biz at RGX, Realogy Global Exchange, the largest conference for the Real Estate industry’s most influential brokers and agents. RGX welcomed the best in marketing, technology and insights to provide the ultimate experience for their vast network of real estate brokers and agents and The Big Freeze came ready to entertain!
Such an epic event called for an epic photo capture, so we created a custom 12-foot, 360-degree Big Freeze array, complete with 24 Big Freeze cameras to maximize every inch of real estate. Almost 1000 guests gleefully made their way through The Big Freeze experience, garnishing nearly 37,100 pageviews for the custom site created by us and unique to the event. From there, guests had swift and easy access to their branded convention capture, which most chose to then share across their favorite social media sites. Are you ready to amplify your brand with the family of Big Freeze systems?
The Big Freeze packed our bags for the West Coast to celebrate the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship. Located in sunny San Jose, California, the championship was the culminating game of a riveting 2018-2019 college football season. To say the event is highly anticipated by fans is a gross understatement, as it had almost 75,000 in attendance and a whopping 25.28 million viewers worldwide. The game itself made a touchdown in history, as the South Carolina Clemson Tigers defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide, giving them the title of first champs with an undefeated 15-0 record in college football since 1897. Another highly anticipated event surrounding the game? Playoff Fan Central, an incredible 3-day, 200,000 square feet interactive experience, boasting special guest appearances, autograph signings, exhibits, games and of course, an epic Big Freeze camera system.
With vibrant yard-lines surrounding the interior to give guests a sense of the field action, The Big Freeze custom array was 10ft in diameter and was constructed to accommodate 24 cameras. Alabama alum and New York Giants safety Landon Collins and college football’s most knowledgeable and entertaining analyst Lee Corso were among the football royalty to make their mark on the Big Freeze gallery. The American sports broadcaster made headlines after successfully predicting the outcome of the season, and he celebrated Big Freeze style by letting us capture his excitement in stunning, 360-degree frozen motion. Touchdown for the Big Freeze!
The Big Freeze was honored to join the annual Jeep On the Rocks summer concert series for the second year in a row at one of the most magical locations on the planet, Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Perhaps the most beautiful concert venue in the world, and once listed as a Seven Wonder, Red Rocks has hosted music’s most renowned acts, including The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and U2, and now The Big Freeze can be a part of that long list of music royalty. The frigid Colorado cold and snow could not stop the crowds from coming out in droves to partake in the festivities. Bands Walk the Moon and Fitz and the Tantrums brought the house down with their energetic and effervescent entertainment, and the rollicking good time continued for concert fans as they made their way to The Big Freeze. We created a 180-degreee, 27-foot curved array, with 48 cameras positioned on a ramp angled to capture all of the magnificent detail of the natural wonder surrounding us. The backdrop was a statuesque white Jeep Wrangler, the hero of the shot, adorned with special lighting to highlight every angle and positioned to jut out against a backdrop of dramatic, towering, red sandstone rocks. We saw flips, jumps, partner choreography, epic high fives and more as friends piled in to snag their frozen moment souvenir from a night they won’t soon forget. Even band members from Walk the Moon couldn’t resist the opportunity to work it for the cameras! As fast as the sweet sounds of music travelled throughout the acoustically perfect amphitheater, visitor captures travelled to the corners of the world with our easily accessible and instant social sharing options. Page views from the event are over 18,000 and rising, and fans are still sharing their Big Freeze experience with their favorite social media platforms, with over 600 shares and counting, helping us affirm the majesty of the event. All was quiet at 1:00 am as we drove down the mountain, but The Big Freeze gallery tells the true tale of a rowdy night of regalement.
Eeeeeatscon is the ultimate foodie destination, and The Big Freeze came in for a slice of the pie! Structured like a music festival but with the hottest restaurants from New York and beyond taking center stage, Eeeeeatscon showcases some of the biggest names in food and drink. The food festival was held in the famous former tennis stadium turned music venue, Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York, which has hosted acts such as The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Diana Ross and Jimi Hendrix. The festival also brings in motivational speakers, musical acts and entertainment to take the event to the next level, and The Big Freeze was ready for the action.
We created a custom truss, low to the ground and equipped with 36 DSLR cameras, which resulted in the perfect 180-degree shot. The background was a display of giant letters spelling Eeeeeatscon and the perfect October New York weather. The Big Freeze was there for the duration of the festival, and we captured hundreds of boisterous Eeeeeatscon festivalgoers who were eager to share their unique frozen moment.
If there is one thing we love at The Big Freeze, it is collaborating to bring our latest technology to showcase incredible innovations, such as the revolutionary new all-electric Jaguar I-PACE. The Big Freeze joined the newest addition to the family of world-class performance vehicles at the San Mateo County Event Center to celebrate the I-PACE collection and their Fall 2018 debut. In order to show off every facet of the remarkable new I-PACE, we installed 40 cameras in a staggered 180-degree formation, giving a sweep of height to each capture. The vehicle was front-and-center and encircled by panels of mirrors to give a distinctive depth and a feeling of grandeur to each frozen moment. Neon lights brought The Big Freeze set to the next level and emphasized the #JaguarElectrifies branding. The Big Freeze had the guests feeling infinite, and our straightforward and effortless social media sharing options ensured that they shared their unique experience, and the savvy Jaguar branding, to followers far and wide. Stay tuned as we take this show on the road, and join Jaguar in November for another upcoming Jaguar Electrifies event in Miami.
The Big Freeze took a trip to the Golden State to capture the magic of the new Disney’s Freaky Friday. Based on the novel Freaky Friday by Mary Rogers as well as Disney’s stage adaptation, the modern musical tells the tale of a magical soul-switch between mother and daughter. Each has to life a day in the life of the other, and the radically different lifestyle choices make for some entertaining hijinks. Disney revamped the film, making it the third film adaptation following the hit 1976 and 2003 versions.
The Big Freeze brought our own magic to the set to create promotional video spots for the film’s debut. Using a green screen, The Big Freeze captured the film’s main talent in a 60-camera array, and then composited each actor into exciting scenes coordinating with the themes of the film. Stars of the film, Cozi Zuehlsdorff, Heidi Blickenstaff, and Jason Maybaum leapt, spun and posed in high action shots, which were expertly captured, frozen, manipulated and combined with celestial-like effects to exhibit and tease to audiences the essence and magic of the film. The effects were edited into playful promo videos to be aired on The Disney Channel to excite viewers and count down the last 12 days leading up to the release of the highly anticipated film. There was nothing freaky about the innovative video result, except perhaps how freaking cool it is!

A wide array of sports injuries were highlighted to showcase the impressive range of possible treatment plans made available by the therapy destination. The Big Freeze captured the effects in striking high definition, and then edited in the informative metrics to create an impressive video reel to be played in the reception area of the clinic. The creative will be used to boast the grand opening of the revolutionary Baylor Scott & White treatment and research center.
The Big Freeze technology captured the action to highlight and dramatize how sports therapy and research can bring each patient back to their peak. The NFL Draft is one of the most highly anticipated events of the season, and they wanted The Big Freeze to be a part of the action! This year, Dallas, Texas, hometown to The Big Freeze, was host to the epic event, which was the first NFL Draft to be held in Dallas’s 100,000-seat capacity AT&T Stadium. The Daytona 500 is the first and most prestigious race of the NASCAR season, and Media Day is a chance for the media and fans to rub elbows with NASCAR racers and A-listers before the big race. Sponsored by NASCAR, we created a 9-foot, 24-camera array, outfitted with confetti galore and classic black and white checkered racetrack flags, all of which was front and center in the infield VIP lounge of the Daytona International Speedway. We kept the energy high and the confetti in the sky as we captured the infectious enthusiasm of major professional NASCAR drivers such as Danica Patrick, Clint Bowyer and the 2018 Daytona 500 winner Austin Dillon. Fans experienced star treatment and were able to follow in their favorite drivers’ footsteps, striking a pose and freezing their epic moment in time to be cherished and shared long after the event. Share they did, and with over 500 shares and over 11,000 pageviews racers and attendees were able to instantly include friends, family and fans in on the experience of a lifetime.
